    Hi , My wife is on h4 visa and I want to file H1B for her and she has It experience of 3 years .Please guide whats the procedure .
    Talk to your employer.He will give you full details. The process will be the same way as your H1B process.

    Last year I had a serious fire injury and was burned >60% . I was in the hospital for most of 2009 but back to work again. However, during this fire my both hands were badly burned and lost finger tips of both hands.

    I have 485 pending and working on EAD. But not sure how this will impact my green card process ( if finger printing is required) or my reentry in US on Advance Parole. I would like to travel and visit India soon.

    Any suggestions recommendations are highly appreciated.

    I was also doing my part-time when I went for Visa ... For 33, I did say "yes" and gave the University name.

    Not sure if IO looked at it ... did not ask me any questions regarding that ...

    Folks,

    When an h1b transfer via regualr processing (california center) is pending...and say the person gets fired /layed off etc....

    Can another h1b transfer be done with just the recepit notice and previous I-797?

    What's the risk? Some companies are not willing to do premium processing even if the candidate is ready to pay the premium process fee.

    Has anyone seen today's Fox News "The Journal Edition Report". In the last-section of the this programme the journalists talk about this week's "hits and misses". One of the journalist was talking about the injustice done to LEGAL immigrants because of latest visa bulletin stuff.

    The programme will be repated
    1:30 AM (morning) EST - Sunday - The Journal Editorial Report - Fox News

    It is not that important, but I thought I should write in case someone is watchnig news at that time. It is half-an-hour programme and that segment "hits and misses" comes after the last-break (I think during last 10 minutes).

    Hello,

    I recently received my Greencard. Will be getting married in a few months and wanted to find out the options available to sponsor my fiance. Fiance is a british citizen, does that help in any way? Also she is a qualified Doctor in the UK and is planning on taking USMLE part 1 & 2 prior to the wedding. Is it prudent to have her move to the US on an H1B instead?

    during stage 3, they require a birth certificate. what if I dont have a birth certificate? do they accept an affidavit from my parents with a domicile cerrtificate or not? i dont even have a school leaving certificate. please give me advices.

    My paper filed EAD ( and for my wife as well) has been pending since June 20th.

    We called USCIS yesterday separately and both times they insisted that we needed biometrics and created SR for that.

    Any one else had similar experience.?

    Also I was trying to search for the Thread that has suggestions / steps to take to expedite the EAD. I think I'd qualify for severe financial hardhip since both of us will have to stop working if EaD doesnt come by October 18th.

    Can some one point to that thread.

    Try quicken loans. They didn't asked me single question/document about my status and I am on H1/EAD

    Could anyone share their experience/knowledge about getting home loan on EAD? My bank says that, for non-FHA loans, you need to be in any of the visa categories like H1, TN1, GC, ... But its list doesn't include EAD or Adjustment of Status. Can that list be challenged to include EAD? That is, how to convince the bank/lending inst that EAD is a legal/legitimate status like H1?

    You are only counted against the quota once for a 6 year period , so I believe, she won't come under the quota , although it's getting harder to get H1B extensions every day

    the format of employment date should be "mm/dd/yyyy", or just 'mm/yyyy'?

    my last day in my previous employer was a Friday 5/15/2009 and my attorney entered 5/17/2009 (Sunday) as my last day on the LCA coz my first day in my current employer was 5/18/2009.

    I am asking my former co-workers to write experience letter for me. Should I let them write '5/15/2009', or '5/17/2009' or just '5/2009' on the letters?

    There is no mandate about that....They can come back anytime before Aug 17 as long as their PD is on or before July 31st, 2007.....Since USCIS said it will not reject 485s without medicals, you can get the medicals done later and submit when they send you an RFE....However, make sure to keep all the applications filled in and ready for mailing except for the signatures and I-94 information of the returning individuals......
