I am planning to r2i in the near future. EB-3 India (PD Nov 2005). I will be transfering with the same company that filed my GC to India. Is there anyway for me to keep my application alive?

I'm on Eb3 and have my I-140 cleared.
I'm planning to switch jobs .. so I can get on Eb2 and use the priority date of this I 140.
What info do I need to pass to my next company if I want to use this priority date (Filed in July 2002)?

Can you please explain why it is restrictive compared to H1B?
Are you telling it because of 2 year home residency rule and getting waivers?
I am thinking of it because of my job continuation and spouse and family. If there is any alternative please suggest.

I Just learnt that the Name Check for my I-485 was processed under a different Alien number when it should be processed by alien number assigned in I-485 case. Since it was cleared under a different number (probably the one for I-140), I-485 file did not have this information and now they are getting it fixed. So when everything in my case is current, this came up right at the time when they will almost be getting out of visa #s. :(
I recommend you should all contact your service centers where your I-485 was filed and make sure that yoru name check is in process or got processed under correct alien number. If the service center refuse to provide any information, contact your congressman office and have them verify this information. You can find who is your local congressman by going to http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/.

The article is interesting, but what is really striking is the tone of the comments to the online article. I am having a really emergry question that I need help on.
case:
My Husband was a F1 international student and his F1 service had stopped by his school, but his Visa( China) was expires on July, 2009. Couple months ago, he and I gets married and he is ready for file the green card. But his grandfather is very sick now and he have to go back immedately; however, he didn't file anything at this time. If he having a emergry that need to go back on June , what he can do now? And is he able to come back to US?

Im currently in my 8th year H1 extension. I will file for my 9th year extension ( 1yr extension) and get it stamped in December. Then I will be outside the country for a year and will come back in next december'07. At that time can i file an extension and get a 3 year extension since i have been out of the country for a year ? If my labor gets approved and 140 gets approved then i know i will be able to do it but if the labor is still stuck....

We got the EAD receipt for both of us.My EAD Status says card ordered but my spouses EAD is still pending. Any one in a similar situation? FP Notices receive for both of us.

my company also got acquired recently and i had gone for stamping. Mine was for renewal. they just looked at the 797 and gave the stamping. i had written the name of the old company in the ds-160 as the h1 document was in their name
